Wavosaur is a fully-featured audio editing application which supports WAV, AIF, MP3, OGG, RAW and can output to either MP3 or WAV format. It also supports VST plugins.
While running Wavosaur for the first time, it is probably a good idea to do some testing as if it were a sandbox. It features many icons and features which aren't too well documented so you should definitely familiarize yourself with its features.
As a portable application, you are not required to install this program and it can easily be run off of a USB stick or other portable media. That's a bonus because there are a lot of different audio editors out there with different features which may only be needed once or twice.
In the case of Wavosaur, you've provided with many different effects which are available from the "Effects" menu. Some of the editing functions in Wavosaur including cut, copy, paste, delete, undo, zoom-in/zoom-out, stereo to mono... among many more.
All-in-all, Wavosaur provides a great number of audio editing tools which are available from a rather complex interface which may need some time to get used to. Despite that, it's highly recommended as a useful freeware and portable audio editing app.

Wavosaur is provided under a freeware license on Windows from audio and video editors with no restrictions on usage. Download and installation of this PC software is free and 1.8.0.0 is the latest version last time we checked.

What version of Windows can Wavosaur run on?
Wavosaur can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
